Collaborate with Collections and Property Management departments to provide information and resolve tenant inquiries as needed.
Prepare monthly account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
Assist with training of other accountants.
Apply cash to tenants’ accounts receivable and correspond with tenants regarding their accounts.
Review and post monthly fixed charges and send courtesy statements.
Customer service focus: Respond to customer service requests in a timely, professional, and enthusiastic manner; gives high priority to customer satisfaction.
Research inquiries from senior management during the monthly and quarterly closes.
Complete the monthly close, prepare property operating statements, book monthly accruals, and provide explanations for budget to actual variances.
Accounting control: Analyze statistical and accounting information and employ cost containment strategies that support business objectives of the organization.
Multi-task: Organize job-related activities to meet established deadlines.
Prepare tax and operating expense recovery billings.
Abstract lease documents into the accounting ledger.

Four-year Degree in Accounting or Finance required

This position is based in an office environment with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
2-5 years training as an Accountant, experience in real estate environment preferred
High level of interpersonal communication skills; ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
