What you would be doing
pipe preparation
tack welding
weld inspection
equipment setup
safety compliance
blueprints
Assist with pipe preparation including grinding, beveling, and cleaning surfaces.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Perform tack welds and minor fitting as directed.
Follow instructions from supervisors and adhere to job specifications and blueprints.
Participate in toolbox talks and ongoing safety meetings.
Support other trades (pipefitters, helpers) when welding tasks are not active.
Conduct basic visual weld inspections and make necessary adjustments.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and wear proper PPE at all times.
Set up and operate welding equipment and tools properly.

Willingness to take and pass weld tests as required.
Exposure to stainless steel welding (TIG) a plus.
Familiarity with pipe welding and structural welding fundamentals.
Previous experience in mechanical or HVAC piping systems.
OSHA 10 certification preferred.
1–3 years of welding experience in a commercial or industrial setting.
Physically able to lift 50 lbs, bend, kneel, and work in confined or elevated areas.
Basic knowledge of fitting, layout, or rigging.
Ability to perform quality welds on carbon steel (TIG, Stick, or MIG depending on need).
Ability to read basic welding symbols and follow layout instructions.
