Senior Cost Manager

Description

• Actively participate in the tender/bid process—from initial documentation through analysis and reporting.
• Manage the change management process, identifying, analyzing, approving, and implementing cost‑affecting changes.
• Analyse tenders/bids to ensure client value for money.
• Assist in preparing and agreeing final accounts, handling claims to secure best value for the client.
• Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments.
• Oversee project spend by creating valuations and cost reports, and clearly communicate variations.
• Support nimble project management and clear decisions through excellent cost documentation and timely communication.
• Assist in the settlement of construction disputes, loss, and expense claims with transparency.
• Foster top performance and growth for employees via mentorship and leadership.

Requirements

All interviews are conducted either in person or virtually, with video required.

• Experience as a senior cost manager, preferably from a consultancy background.
• Experience in pre‑contract cost management, budget control, cost planning, and change form preparation.
• Knowledge of alternative construction materials.
• Chartered status or progressing toward it (support provided).
• Degree or comparable experience in project management or construction discipline.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage own priorities and deadlines.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with team and clients, promoting openness and fun.
