Review and approve customs duty invoices; communicate corrections and track post-summary corrections and refunds
Prepare dangerous goods declarations, primarily for battery shipments, in compliance with regulatory standards
Serve as the main point of contact for third-party customs brokers; resolve inquiries to avoid shipment delays
Negotiate rates and terms with parcel carriers and freight forwarders
Train internal teams on customs and logistics procedures; identify and correct process errors
Manage accurate customs data in Dynamics Finance ERP system
Review and approve logistics invoices; ensure alignment with negotiated rates
Manage relationships with logistics partners and customs brokers
Analyze applicability of exemptions and free trade agreements for international shipments
Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across shipping and freight services

A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required; preferably in International Business, Logistics or Supply Chain Management from an accredited school or university.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
Minimum 3 years of experience in international logistics and/or customs compliance
Experience handling dangerous goods shipments is a plus.
Must be able to see, hear, speak, and write clearly to communicate with customers; manual dexterity required for occasional reaching and lifting of large objects more than 50 pounds; and operating office equipment; Frequent sitting, occasional bending and kneeling.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Hazards such as those encountered in substation environments, such as the presence of high voltage, and other sources of electrical shock may be encountered. May be required to use Personal Protection Equipment (PPE): hard hats, safety boots, ear protection, safety glasses, fall restraint, and FR clothing.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color perception, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Job will be situated in an office environment but will require regular travel to visit a client's office, production facility or industrial/construction job sites. Conditions will vary at each location.
Strong knowledge of U.S. customs procedures and import/export regulations
Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (preferably Dynamics Finance) and Microsoft Excel
