The Inventory Planner/Expeditor plans and regulates machine parts and inventory levels, ensuring daily production runs proceed without incident. The role supports Production Control and Manufacturing management by forecasting demand, managing supplier relationships, and meeting daily targets.
The role operates primarily in an office setting but may require occasional presence on the manufacturing floor, exposing the employee to noise and temperature variations. Physical demands include sitting, occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 10 lb, with required visual abilities.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and at least two years of inventory control, planning, or expediting experience in a manufacturing environment, plus the ability to pass drug and background checks. Preferred candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in business and three years of relevant experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP, strong verbal and written communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work independently are essential. Excellent customer‑service orientation and the capacity to monitor a supply chain of 40‑60 suppliers and 1,200 part numbers are also required.
