The Installer is a critical member of a residential solar construction team, working alongside the Foreperson and Lead Installer to complete installation projects. This role focuses on safe, efficient solar system assembly and ensures high‑quality workmanship for customers. Candidates who are passionate about solar, field safety, and teamwork will thrive.
- Ensure personal, crew, and job site safety at all times; attend training on new products, installation methods, and safety procedures.
- Review inventory at the loading dock to verify the crew truck is adequately stocked.
- Layout and assemble solar modules, racking, mechanical and structural mounts, electrical equipment, and tools according to the project plan.
- Apply weather sealing to roofing structures and support mechanisms.
- Perform project clean‑up of the client site and installation vehicle to maintain an orderly work environment.
- Follow company safety policies, identify and report hazards, and encourage safe work practices among teammates.
- Interact courteously and professionally with customers and coworkers.
- Transport materials up to 50 lb frequently (up to 100 lb with assistance) and lift equipment as needed.
- Work on rooftops with various angles, performing frequent bending, climbing, crawling, and maintaining balance.
- Use ladders, fall‑protection harnesses, and other personal protective equipment safely.

- Prefer prior solar, construction, or military experience, though it is not required.
- Consistently meet deadlines, metrics, and impact goals both individually and as a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Operate in diverse weather conditions, confined spaces such as attics and crawl spaces, and handle fine‑motor tasks.
