- Provide strategic HSE support to Business Unit activities in partnership with the Group HSE Director.
- Advise VPs and Managing Directors on risk identification, opportunities, and growth‑supporting strategies.
- Lead accident investigations as required.
- Promote HSE governance and foster a best‑in‑class safety culture across the unit.
- Develop and launch HSE initiatives to improve behavioral safety and secure senior management buy‑in.
- Oversee the HSE Management System for projects and country operations, ensuring proper budgeting and cost allocation.
- Generate regular HSE performance reports and assist in setting Group annual targets.
- Ensure appropriate HSE resources are mobilized for projects.
- Travel as needed to support site activities.
- Represent the company on HSE matters with clients, regulators, and industry bodies.
- Lead and develop a team of up to 20 direct reports.
- Drive cultural change toward proactive safety using data‑driven decision‑making, predictive tools, and digital dashboards.

The ideal candidate is a proven leader with extensive O&M experience in health, safety and environment, capable of setting and continuously improving a unified HSE strategy, representing the company with external stakeholders, and leading a team of up to 20 direct reports. They should possess strategic and analytical thinking, coaching leadership style, an international mindset for building cross‑cultural teams, and fluency in English.
- Demonstrated leadership in O&M HSE with 1,400+ staff in a global, decentralized environment.
- Ability to execute O&M safely, sustainably, and in compliance with legal, corporate, and customer requirements.
- Expertise in developing and maintaining a unified HSE strategy, management system, and integrated safety culture across offices, workshops, and plant operations.
- Strategic, analytical thinker with strong business acumen and coaching leadership style.
- Experience building cross‑cultural, decentralized teams and recruiting for growth.
- Fluent in English; additional languages considered a plus.
