Janitorial Cleaner

Description

The Cleaner provides the cleaning and upkeep of an assigned area.

• Clean and maintain buildings, facilities, furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to protect surfaces.
• Notify manager of minor or major repairs or additions to building systems.
• Communicate effectively with clients, co‑workers, supervisors, and managers.
• Comply with safety, security, compliance, and quality standards.
• Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment manually or using hand trucks.
• Clean interior glass, windows, partitions, and mirrors with appropriate cleaners.
• Wash and replace blinds; gather and empty trash.
• Perform seasonal tasks such as sweeping walkways, raking leaves, cutting grass, and snow removal.
• Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas.

Requirements

This role is well‑suited for individuals entering or re‑entering the workforce with limited experience or education. ABM is a military‑ and veteran‑friendly employer and encourages candidates with military occupational specialties 92S, 92Y, LS, or DC to apply.

• Must be 18+; no experience, high school diploma, GED, or college degree required.
• Preferred: customer service experience and 1 year of similar work.

Benefits

Shift hours are 4:30 am to 1:30 pm Monday‑Thursday and 4:30 am to 8:30 am on Fridays, totaling four 9‑hour days. Pay is $17 per hour with weekly pay.
