The Role

Overview

Design, analysis, and coordination of civil infrastructure projects as a Civil Engineer III.

Tasks

-Provides guidance to entry level engineers. -Prepares technical specification sections. -Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests. -Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise. -Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables. -Develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects. -Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design -Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures. -Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings. -Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision. -Coordination with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory agencies, and members of the public will be necessary to accomplish assigned objectives. -Overseeing construction phase engineering services. -Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others. -Identifies discrepancies in results. -Provides input for the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.

What You Bring

-Sponsorship for US Employment Authorization is not available now or in the future for this position. -Prior experience in Site Civil/Land Development including site layout, grading plans, utility plans, stormwater management plans, pavement jointing, and construction administration services. -Civil 3D experience -Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or related field and 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. -Bluebeam experience -Communicates project tasks between offices – high level of coordination and communication skills required. -Experience mentoring or supervising other engineering professionals. -Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position. -Licensed Professional Engineer in California. -Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with diverse audience. -Prior experience with Federal or State of California projects -Experience as Professional Engineer. -Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
