Intern responsibilities include applying environmental protection regulations, learning local planning and environmental requirements, conducting field assignments, and participating in public outreach. Interns will produce technical, business, and marketing deliverables, analyze data, support project and business teams, collaborate with diverse technical groups, and adhere to company policies while maintaining confidentiality.
Candidates must be currently enrolled university students, recent graduates, or graduate students in fields such as Airports/Aviation Planning, Archaeology, Architectural History, Biology/Natural Resource Management, Climate Change/Sustainability, Environmental Planning, Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, GIS, Computer Science, Civil/Environmental Engineering, or related disciplines. Applicants must be able to work 12‑24 hours weekly on‑site; a tailored cover letter is optional. The application deadline is February 13, 2026.
Physical duties may require walking long distances with a backpack, lifting at least 40 pounds, operating and transporting equipment, and driving 4WD vehicles. Work may occur in varied weather, terrain, and remote or urban settings, and may include occasional nights or weekends. Office tasks involve prolonged computer use, which could cause ergonomic strain if proper precautions are not taken.
Preferred qualifications include at least one year of coordination experience supporting multiple groups, progress toward or completion of a relevant degree, high attention to detail, strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities, and effective communication across staff levels. Candidates should be comfortable multitasking in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment and possess solid integrated software application skills.
