  • Timeliness of deliverable and attendance
  • Interact with project team members to conduct field programs and prepare reports for review
  • Solicit work from SLR project managers
  • Review and analyze environmental monitoring and operating data
  • Provide technical understanding related to projects (i.e., regulatory framework/requirements, engineering approach, investigation methods, etc.)
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Accurately develop and complete tasks for air quality monitoring, permitting, compliance reporting, and field data collection under the supervision of a Senior Project Manager

  • Familiarity with data acquisition systems, telemetry, and remote field monitoring systems
  • Experience solving environmental problems, calculating air quality emissions, and interpreting environmental regulations

  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team

  • Experience conducting PM10, PM2.5, NOx, SO2, CO, O3, CEMS, or meteorological monitoring for regulatory purposes highly desirable
  • Proactive in planning ahead and problem solving.
  • Good analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Must be able to take and pass drug & alcohol screening following company or client policies.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with local and regional travel and shipping logistics
  • Ability to be in the field working for up to 2 consecutive weeks at a time, or up to 30% of the time.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Knowledge of industrial facility operations and safety protocols desirable
  • Ability to travel by airplane, helicopter, boat, and car, including overnight travel
  • Ability to self-test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical systems
  • 0-5 years’ experience in air quality and/or meteorological monitoring
  • Ability to support team members and step up at a moment’s notice
  • Curious and eager to work on varied projects
  • Regularly required to sit, stand stationary, and move about
  • Occasionally required to handle large items
  • Occasionally required to climb a tower
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting regulatory requirements and guidance
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Occasionally required to travel in small aircraft, including helicopters, to remote locations
  • Experience operating and maintaining air quality monitoring equipment
  • B.S. in atmospheric science, environmental science, engineering (mechanical, environmental, chemical), chemistry, physics or equivalent scientific field
  • Required to have vision abilities that include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, fine discriminate detail, and depth perception
  • Frequently required to walk or climb stairs
  • Regularly required to reach with hand and arms
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented
  • Occasionally required to work in an Arctic environment
