Janitorial Cleaner

Description

The Cleaner provides the cleaning and upkeep of an assigned area. This role is suitable for individuals entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education.

• Clean and maintain buildings/facilities, including dusting furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, and equipment
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage
• Notify manager of needed minor or major repairs or building system additions
• Communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, shift coordinators, supervisors, and managers
• Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards set by company, clients, and regulators
• Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment manually or with hand trucks to clean areas
• Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and tools
• Wash and replace blinds
• Gather and empty trash
• Sweep walkways, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow, and perform other seasonal tasks
• Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• No high school diploma, GED, or college degree required
• Customer service experience preferred
• At least 1 year of similar work experience preferred

Benefits
