This position will encompass leading the engineering and maintenance personnel groups, supporting and developing new and existing site infrastructure including preventative maintenance plans, risk analysis, equipment and infrastructure design control, equipment procurement and validations, as well as management of all capital expenditures. Key challenges will include the management of staff, contractor management, project scope development and execution, and the building infrastructure plan for the site. This role will report to the Facilities Manager.

  • Manage a highly qualified team of engineers and maintenance technicians supporting the operations, improvements, and sustainability of site infrastructure and processes.
  • Provides innovative solutions within engineering discipline.
  • Implement a maintenance strategic plan to ensure cost effective asset management, long term viability of equipment, and long-term improvement of the maintenance organization to support operations.
  • Provide strategic ownership of maintenance operations identifying efficiencies and cost savings opportunities against financial plans while incorporating HP tools into daily activities.
  • Develop and maintain overall site preventative maintenance plans in accordance with industry standards while supporting and improving the onsite CMMS.
  • Ensure all applicable Federal, State and Local building codes, as well as all applicable Arconic specifications and standards are met and followed for all projects and services performed by the department.
  • Drive continuous improvement with process modernization and technology to improve and optimize operations while reporting of key metrics.
  • Responsible for growth and development of employees including reward and recognition, communication, leadership and vision, and supervisory effectiveness.
  • Develop scopes of work, providing appropriate and cost-effective options and recommendations for solutions related to capital projects, mechanical and electrical solutions, and upset conditions.
  • Management of the annual and 5-year capital portfolio plans, project and expense budgets, and project execution supporting production, R&D processes, and infrastructure improvements of the facility.
  • Implement and sustain an overall site contractor management plan defining scope, frequency, and rate negotiation of services while ensuring contractor compliance to EHS requirements.

  • Strong engineering knowledge and skill set within one's own discipline.
  • Excellent collaboration, decision-making, computer, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • 1-3 years’ experience managing and motivating a team in engineering or maintenance discipline.
  • Experience developing scope of work for projects.
  • At least five (5) years’ experience leading Infrastructure projects in an industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated project leadership and systematic engineering with industrial knowledge (e.g., mechanical systems, HVAC, combustion, construction, and fabrication)
  • Experience defining project execution strategy and influencing technical discussions.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Prior experience with AutoCAD and CMMS.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with the staff at varying levels of the organization including third party contractors.
  • Excellent critical, conceptual, and analytical thinking skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (i.e., mechanical, electrical, chemical, or industrial)
  • Prior experience with Automated Logic
  • Conceptual, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are necessary.
  • Adept at defining the project execution strategy and influencing the technical discussion.
  • Must be detail oriented, self-directed, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorizations from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements.
  • Adept at developing scope of work for projects regardless of level of complexity.
