
Designs and manufactures power and propulsion systems for aerospace, marine, defence and energy sectors.
As a Manufacturing Services Technician in the Mechanical field, you will perform mechanical installations, repairs and maintenance on manufacturing assets and associated production equipment. You will work on a variety of equipment to keep production running efficiently.
You will read and interpret machinery and plant drawings, mechanical schematics, maintenance manuals and parts catalogues to meet customer requirements. You will identify and recommend improvements to mechanical procedures, research and implement enhancements, and suggest updates to work instructions to optimise installation and maintenance strategies.
You will coordinate workload and mechanical activities with customers, regularly communicating with Production Leaders, Team Leaders, Design Engineers, Maintenance team members and Production staff. You will also process work orders and generate reports using the Computerised Maintenance Management System.
Successful candidates will hold an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical/Maintenance, supported by a recognised apprenticeship. A good understanding of mechanical installations, maintenance operations and local HSE standards is essential, as is the ability to work from engineering drawings.
