The technician will deliver exceptional service by handling end‑user and network escalations, coordinating client move‑in activities, and responding to emergency outages. Responsibilities also include monitoring equipment alarms, collaborating with local partners on issues such as virus outbreaks, and maintaining a 24‑48 hour SLA for onsite appointments while keeping escalation tickets up‑to‑date.
Additional duties involve supporting Boldyn Networks’ install activities, enforcing company policies and end‑user agreements, generating required reports, and completing documentation and administrative tasks. Participation in training events and continuous learning is expected.
Boldyn Networks is seeking a full‑time Network Technician to work on the Auburn University‑Montgomery campus, providing IT infrastructure that supports the technology‑savvy student community. The role combines a passion for network infrastructure with a customer‑oriented mindset, aiming to exceed client expectations.
Ideal candidates are highly self‑motivated, quickly grasp technical concepts, and excel at reading blueprints, configuring networking equipment, and troubleshooting internet connectivity. Strong customer service skills, the ability to take initiative, and ownership of issues through resolution or timely escalation are essential.
The position requires physical capabilities such as typing, using power tools, standing, walking, and lifting up to 75 lb, as well as navigating client sites that may involve climbing or crawling. It operates under a responder call‑back model, which may require availability on weekends, holidays, or outside typical business hours.
Qualifications include experience with commercial‑grade networking equipment, fiber and copper, PON, DSL‑AMS, RF over coax, and QAM, plus a solid understanding of electrical, analog, digital, switch, and routing concepts. Certifications such as Network+, CCENT, CCNA, or CWTS are preferred, along with an Associate’s degree in a technical field (or a four‑year technology degree) and 2‑3 years of help‑desk and customer‑support experience.
