Description

• Collaborate side‑by‑side with design leaders, project managers, architects, interior designers, urban planners, and emerging professionals on active production projects.
• Contribute to firm’s design and marketing initiatives.
• Create visual presentations and communications for client interactions.
• Explore areas of interest and work with talented mentors.
• Develop design assignments throughout all project phases.
• Coordinate architectural drawings across disciplines.
• Support communication among project team, client, vendors, contractors, and consultants.
• Enhance client satisfaction, design quality, and project profitability aligned with firm’s strategic priorities.
• Produce technical design and construction documents efficiently.
• Utilize graphics software such as SketchUp, Lumion, or Enscape.
• Direct and motivate team efforts and address project challenges.
• Provide a cover letter, resume, and portfolio showcasing Revit skills and rendering abilities.
• Engage with a fantastic design team to develop new skills and contribute to world‑class projects.
• Participate in meaningful collaboration and research efforts.
• Take part in community service and outreach supporting local and national organizations.

Requirements

We are currently seeking an Interior Designer to join our Asheville office. You are passionate about design and devoted to quality, possess organizational skills to prioritize tasks and handle multiple deadlines, have thorough knowledge of relevant codes, operations, processes and trends, and demonstrate the ability to mentor and manage teams while fostering client relationships. In this role you will play a pivotal part in the design process, collaborating closely with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to bring visionary architectural concepts to life.

• Demonstrate proficiency in Revit.
• Apply knowledge of relevant codes (state building codes, FGI Healthcare Guidelines, NFPA, IBC, ANSI 117.1, BOMA).
• Possess or pursue LEED accreditation.
• Understand design and procurement processes.
• Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design from a CIDA‑accredited program or equivalent field.
• Bring 6+ years of design experience in an architecture firm (preferred).
• Possess NCIDQ certification (preferred).
