The Resident Engineer will lead staff on a large infrastructure project, ensuring efficient execution of staking, testing, and inspection activities. They will quickly master plans and specifications, administer work, and maintain an organization capable of meeting contract requirements while coordinating with multiple clients and stakeholders.
- Monitor client program and progress reports.
- Ensure client compliance with contract documents.
- Inspect workmanship and materials for quality.
- Coordinate supply of vertical and horizontal controls.
- Perform layout checks on lines and grades.
- Maintain comprehensive records of workforce, equipment, progress, and safety.
- Review and approve client shop drawings.
- Conduct soils and material testing per contract specifications.
- Manage contract responsibilities and authorize variations only with approval.
- Approve final material submittals.
- Certify progress payments to the client.
- Evaluate costs for variation and change orders.
- Review requests for additional compensation and time extensions.
- Prepare variation orders for additional or new work.
- Compile and submit monthly progress reports, including safety monitoring.
- Identify and address construction safety violations.
- Determine appropriate costs for additions or credits and recommend actions.

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
- Minimum 15 years experience managing large‑scale infrastructure projects, especially bridges and underpasses.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, quality control, and local Dubai building codes.
- Proven project management skills covering budget and schedule control.
- Advanced problem‑solving, analytical, and technical writing abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
- Willingness to work on‑site and travel as required.
