Description

Complete drawings and related documents accurately and on schedule.
Create panel layouts, schematics, conduit, cable tray, and wire schedules with minimal input from a Project Engineer.
Design instrumentation and device stands.
Prepare and assemble bidding and construction documents.
Perform field verification and site visits to confirm adherence to design and document changes.
Develop power wire schedules, one-line drawings, and loop diagrams.
Conduct all activities in a safe and compliant manner, following company and industry requirements.
Coordinate with assembly teams and panel shops.
Independently develop the majority of project documents using reference material from past projects.
Promote a positive working environment to support organizational goals.
Follow established AutoCAD standards as outlined in Roeslein’s Engineering/Drafting guidelines.
Support shipping department with tagging and cataloging items.
Create and maintain drawing files using the Drawing Control Index (DCI).
Interface with vendors, prepare purchase orders, and verify materials at vendor and RMF locations.

Skilled in preparing panel layouts, schematics, conduit/cable tray schedules, and power wire drawings.
Ability to collaborate with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong time management skills and flexibility to work occasional weekends or holidays.
Proficiency in AutoCAD 2014 or above required; knowledge of file structures, electrical systems, and symbols preferred.
Ability to create neat, organized drawings that meet established standards.
Ability to interpret engineer/designer notes and sketches into design documents.
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows-based programs.
Field verification and auditing experience preferred.
Associate’s degree in Computer-Aided Drafting, Applied Science, or related field required.
Regularly travel between St. Louis, MO Headquarters and manufacturing facility in Red Bud, IL.
Travel domestically and internationally up to 10% per year.
Strong mechanical aptitude for both 2D and 3D layouts.
0-3 years of experience in conduit/cable tray schedules, schematics, power one-lines, and field verification.
AutoCAD 3D and AutoCAD Electrical knowledge preferred (or willingness to learn).
