Implement preventive maintenance programs and track service records.
Oversee the maintenance and repair of plant equipment to minimize downtime.
Work with procurement to optimize material costs and ensure vendor performance.
Supervise and train plant personnel including batch operators, loader operators, drivers, and maintenance staff.
Enforce strict adherence to company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Maintain accurate inventory logs and production reports.
Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with all mix design specifications, including proper batching and material usage.
Conduct regular team meetings focused on safety, productivity, and process improvements.
Maintain documentation related to environmental compliance and safety audits.
Monitor raw material levels (cement, aggregate, admixtures, etc.) and coordinate timely resupply.
Conduct regular plant inspections to ensure a safe and clean working environment.
Coordinate with dispatch sales teams to prioritize and fulfill customer orders.
Schedule staffing for multiple plants to meet operational needs.
Monitor plant performance and adjust production levels based on demand and inventory needs.
Regular travel between plant locations may be required.
Collaborate with quality control personnel to test and ensure the integrity of concrete mixes.
Identify and correct quality issues during production to prevent customer complaints.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily concrete production to meet delivery requirements and customer specifications.
Maintain production records and ensure documentation for regulatory and internal audits.
Report and resolve equipment issues quickly to maintain production efficiency.

Work is performed in both office and outdoor plant environments, with exposure to dust, noise, heat, and weather.
Familiarity with DOT requirements and industry safety/environmental standards.
Strong knowledge of batching systems, concrete mix designs, and aggregate materials.
Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and occasional weekends.
Experience with automated batching systems (e.g., Command Alkon, Jonel).
Proficiency in production software, inventory systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
Requires ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and operate machinery occasionally.
2+ years of supervisory or management experience in a plant or industrial setting.
Minimum 5 years of experience in ready mix concrete operations or related field.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.
