- Undertaking primary design for substations and terminal stations to a high technical standard
- Review work as part of the peer review process from time to time as may be required
- Review and assess brownfield and greenfield sites
- Effectively manage the detail design from concept through to final design implementation to agreed scope, quality, time frames and budgets
- Develop scopes and specifications for design and construction
- Manage outcomes within budget and project programme constraints whilst maintaining high levels of technical performance
- Identify and manage scope variations according to client and/or project requirements

- Detailed technical knowledge and experience in electricity networks engineering
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to manage stakeholders at all levels

- Demonstrated experience with primary design in electricity substations engineering, project delivery and/or design roles
- NER high desired, motivated and willing to work toward CPEng status
