Participate in project risk assessment and proactively identify issues related to constructability, code compliance, and scope clarity.
Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, resolve field conditions, and maintain alignment with design intent.
Assist with contract document reviews, permitting, and support signing/sealing processes.
Supervise and mentor junior team members; contribute to internal standards and staff development initiatives.
Provide technical leadership and oversight on one or more projects throughout all design and construction phases.
Lead internal quality control efforts and support specification development in alignment with documentation.
Conduct in-depth coordination with MEP, lighting, and structural consultants, resolving technical conflicts and optimizing performance.
Represent HLW in client and consultant meetings; step in for Project Manager as needed.
Collaborate closely with project managers, design leaders, and consultants to deliver integrated design solutions.
Manage and review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals during construction administration.
Direct the development of comprehensive drawing sets and construction documents, ensuring alignment with client goals, budgets, and HLW standards.

US Registered Architect.
Clear, confident communicator with strong leadership and mentorship skills.
11+ years of professional architectural experience.
Proficiency in Revit.
LEED accreditation or familiarity with sustainable design standards.
Demonstrated success in delivering high-quality interior projects, particularly in commercial, workplace, or mixed-use environments.
Experience with MS Office and project management platforms (Newforma or Procore preferred).
Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
Strong working knowledge of NYC building codes, ADA regulations, and construction practices.
