The Robotics Technician role is central to delivering high‑quality robotic systems, working hands‑on with hardware, tools, and testing equipment, and performing post‑assembly drone flights for quality assurance. Collaboration with engineers, other technicians, and operations staff is essential to refine manufacturing processes and resolve mechanical and electrical challenges.
- Assemble, maintain, and optimize robotic systems and related equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues
- Operate production tools such as soldering irons, CNC machines, rotary tools, and multimeters
- Test and validate robot functionality and quality before deployment
- Perform post‑assembly drone flights for quality assurance (FAA Part 107 required or to be obtained)
- Support robotic and drone service operations on‑site and in the field
- Monitor and improve assembly, QA/QC, and repair processes, recommending efficiency gains
- Collaborate with engineers on prototype development and new product testing
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal safety protocols
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Consistently assemble, test, and maintain robotic systems to high quality
- Drive improvements in manufacturing and QA/QC efficiency
- Foster cross‑team collaboration to advance robotics innovation

Success in this position requires a detail‑oriented, problem‑solving mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, venture‑backed environment. The technician must be comfortable handling components up to 50 pounds, maintaining a clean workspace, and adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- FAA Part 107 UAS remote pilot certificate (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Manufacturing or assembly experience preferred
- Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lb unassisted
