Commercial HVAC Service Technician

Description

• Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer’s recommendations and explain fully to customer what the issue is and what is needed to correct.
• Install, troubleshoot and repair heating, air conditioning and refrigeration units, including chillers, boilers, roof top units, split systems and heat pumps.
• Maintain good working order of company vehicles including refueling and preventative maintenance as necessary, reporting any mechanical issues. Vehicles should be washed on a regular basis.
• Troubleshoot malfunctioning heating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems to determine the cause of malfunction.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance as needed for the purpose of insuring the ongoing functioning of HVAC systems.
• Be available to work nights and weekends on a rotating basis to service the emergency needs of our customers.
• Travel to job sites in service area and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customer and dispatch.
• Enter call resolutions on tablet before you leave the customer site.
• Follow established safety procedures and housekeeping practices.
• Participate in company and/or vendor provided training opportunities.

Requirements

• Must be able to proficiently perform the following tasks: troubleshoot with a digital volt meter, soldering and brazing.
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in commercial HVAC
• Technical School Certificate in HVAC
• Universal EPA Certification
• High School Diploma or equivalent
