Design & deliver technical/functional solutions against specifications and blueprints in accordance with agreed standards and procedures
Support Audit activities
Keep abreast of advances of available technologies and best practice to identify and exploit new opportunities
Complete unit and integration testing of developments in line with agreed processes ensuring completion within allocated timescales
Co-ordinate and manage application of Security and other patches for SAP, OS and databases
Provide technical expertise in systems applications within a nominated function
To be involved in Hitachi Rail Limited’s staff development and training and participate in PDP procedures.
Complete detailed solution documentation for technical solutions
Provide 2nd/3rd line support for incidents reported to the service desk in line with SLA.
Develop and deliver release notes and key user training for all new or enhanced application functionality.
For small projects, work with the solution lead to deliver overall solution track for the project
Support the acceptance and implementation of new functional solutions into the production environment ensuring relevant support documentation is available.
Deliver regular release items (problems and requests) understanding business requirements and completing the design, build, testing and deployment of functional components.

Degree Qualified in IT discipline or similar relevant subject
Vast experience working in a manufacturing/assembly environment
Specific knowledge of SAP QM module including:
Completed solution configuration for primary module
Excellent/effective communications skills to all levels of the organisation
Operated in multi-project, matrix managed environment
Relevant SAP module area certification is desirable.
Understanding of ASAP and experience in delivering solutions within ASAP methodology
Good understanding of integration with other SAP modules.
Vast experience in SAP QM functional Development / Support
Completed at least 3 significant full systems implementation lifecycles
Experience of systems development and project management methodologies
Subject Matter Expert for SAP QM Module
Experience of Manufacturing/Service Management Organisations
