Lead cross business unit cost down initiatives.
Execute Purchase orders (PO) via ERP system preferably SAP of SCRs, Catalysts, Silencers, Skids, Stacks, Control valves, Expansion joints, I&Cs and Engineering services tied to Environmental solution products, assemblies, Balance of Plant (BOP), operations and field service procurements. Other ERP experiences will be acceptable.
Communicate effectively with subordinates and management at all levels.
Participate in proactive team efforts and leadership to achieve departmental, company and individual goals and objectives.
Understand, establish and issue Request for Proposal (RFP)/Request for Quote (RFQ) for SCRs, Catalysts, Silencers, Skids, Stacks, Control valves, Expansion joints, I&Cs and Engineering services tied to Environmental solution products, assemblies, Balance of Plant (BOP), operations and field service procurements.
Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures reporting all unsafe activities to Management and/or Human Resources.
Discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.
Protect confidential information by not communicating, disclosing to, or using for benefit of 3rd parties.
Develop and lead the implementation of global supply strategy including negotiation of contracts.
Negotiates terms and conditions with suppliers and coordinates with legal when required.
Provide support to upper management in effort to meet corporate goals, objectives and projects.
Establish long-term agreements with suppliers and work alongside global commodity managers.
In addition, maintain informational exchanges and communications with all required groups and organizations contributing to the fulfillment of material demands.
Performance review of suppliers for quality, delivery and reliability.
Collaborate with required engineers, project managers, supply chain project managers, expeditors and external partners (suppliers, engineering 3rd parties) to successfully execute project deliverables and procure as needed.
Processes challenging and unique purchasing transactions in accordance with state and federal statutes, policies established by the Mitsubishi Power policies and procedures.
Create value through relationship management, supplier excellence and development projects to reduce cost and lead time and work with other Mitsubishi group companies to find cost savings opportunities. This includes evaluating strategies such as sole sourcing, e- sourcing events, auctions, cross commodity and cross business unit bundling, and tactics for increased competition.
Analyzes departmental purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy of information. Contact department or initiator to clarify and complete information. Determines method needed to process requisition such as bid, request for proposal, or blanket contract.
Manage contracts to verify vendor compliance to contract requirements.
Review bid proposals and negotiate contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
Be a central point of coordination for the activities within procurement process.
Support transportation strategy for the commodity assigned.
May lead or supervise the activities of others.
Schedule, plan, forecast necessary material to support commercially all manufacturing and project demands.
Process standardization, training, negotiation guidance, and supplier selection and development.

Must have Domestic and International Buying/Purchasing exp and may have to travel Domestically/Internationally up to 15% of the time.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, engineering drawings, engineering specifications for material, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
The ability to effectively handle purchase orders with scope and/or contractual requirements of advanced complexity and advanced commercial and/or financial risk.
Ability to effectively communicate job tasks, goals and projects to global sourcing staff as well as manage and delegate when necessary.
Preferred experience executing procurement activities with SCRs, Catalysts, Silencers, Skids, Stacks, Control valves, Expansion joints, I&Cs, etc.
Ability to demonstrate the capability to perform work assignments on a wide variety of tasks with limited supervision.
Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and basic database.
Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university; and as a minimum five (5) years of procurement experience in the environmental solutions and/or power generation industry; or, ten (10) years of procurement experience; or, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities has been achieved. MBA/ ISM/ APCIS Members/ CSCM or CPIM, preferred. Candidates with experience in power generation, oil and gas, coal or any technical procurement preferred.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Tariff risk mitigation knowledge and understanding of INCO terms.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Must have the ability to effectively handle multiple quotes and orders simultaneously and prioritize work based on schedule demands.
Problem solving of Environmental solution products, assemblies, Balance of Plant (BOP), Gas Turbines Auxiliary systems, operations and field service procurement issues as they arise.
Must have handled minimum of $10 million - $20 million a year in contracts.
