Description

• Review project specifications, drawings, and attend pre‑bid meetings to define scope and estimate requirements.
• Prepare detailed estimates and supporting documentation for review.
• Solicit project‑specific proposals from material suppliers and evaluate them for completeness and competitiveness.
• Develop options and recommend best‑value solutions based on cost, engineering, quality, or material availability.
• Establish and maintain positive, ethical relationships with owners, consultants, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Assist operations with awarded contracts, including estimating/pricing change orders and resolving contractual issues.
• Collaborate with the Preconstruction Specialist to develop complete professional proposals, including schedules, narratives, and organizational charts.
• Create conceptual proposals to support business development and client maintenance.
• Maintain the estimating productivity database.
• Prepare proposals with minimal supervision.

• Demonstrate strong understanding of conceptual estimating, estimating techniques, and cost control.
• Communicate clearly in writing and verbally to articulate bid inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project.
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Construction Management (PE a plus).
• Possess 7+ years of estimating experience.
