The Plant Engineering Intern will join Atura’s Oakville head office as a valued member of the Plant Engineering Team, providing engineering support for operational troubleshooting, outage assistance, and business improvement projects across the power‑generation portfolio.
The role involves creating and updating engineering documents, analyzing drawing accuracy, supporting outage planning and capital projects, generating technical specifications, coordinating with contractors and consultants, and producing data‑driven reports and automated workflows.
Candidates must be enrolled in a Canadian accredited engineering program (mechanical or electrical preferred), have legal work status in Canada, possess strong Microsoft Office and AutoCAD/SolidWorks skills, hold a valid G‑class driver’s licence, and be able to travel up to 20 % to plant sites. Preferred experience includes prior work in power generation and familiarity with Power BI, Power Automate, VBA, and other industry software.
During the internship you will gain exposure to the full range of power‑generation assets, multiple engineering functions, and the programs used to manage them, while collaborating with operations and maintenance departments to implement world‑class strategies and tools.
