The Associate Community Director reports to the Community Director within the Property Management department and is a non-exempt position. This role assists the Community Director in managing the financial and operational aspects of the community, ensuring accurate accounting, timely reporting, and effective use of the property management system.
The role has no supervisory responsibilities. The Associate Community Director must adhere to Gallery Residential’s policies, maintain reliable attendance and punctuality, and comply with all performance expectations.
Work is performed in an office environment but also involves frequent exposure to outdoor conditions that may be unpleasant or hazardous. Physical demands include standing, walking, climbing, stooping, squatting, and handling objects up to 20 lb independently or 50 lb with assistance, as well as operating golf carts and navigating stairs throughout the property.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of multifamily industry experience that includes property management, sales, marketing, and customer service. Required abilities include strong reading, writing, and communication skills, basic mathematics for financial calculations, and sound reasoning for lease enforcement and collections. Proficiency with internet, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and property management software (preferably Yardi or OneSite) is essential, as is a valid driver’s license.
The position is scheduled for a 40‑hour work week with typical site hours of 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays. Assistant Community Directors must be available to work weekends as scheduled, usually the first weekend of the month, and must be able to perform essential functions unaccompanied.
