The Senior Project Manager joins a leadership team that delivers world‑class service by overseeing daily project operations. This role creates detailed project plans that define tasks, timelines, and resources needed to meet project goals, and maintains constant communication with stakeholders while managing risk and schedule performance.
Key duties include administering contracts, change orders, procurement, scheduling, and financial reporting; securing permits and confirming subcontractor insurance; and facilitating project meetings to coordinate activities. The manager leads, trains, and develops the project team, prepares monthly status reports, and drives project close‑out procedures such as turnover of manuals, warranties, and final payments. Maintaining strong relationships with owners, engineers, and design firms, setting deadlines, monitoring progress, and supporting business development through proposals and presentations are also essential.
Candidates must hold an undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related discipline, or possess equivalent experience. At least seven years of construction experience—preferably with a general contractor on large‑scale projects—and four years of leadership experience are required. Knowledge of strategic, operational, and financial components of construction, strong decision‑making, negotiation, and relationship‑building abilities, as well as DBIA or LEED accreditation (a plus), are necessary to succeed.
The role is physically active, requiring frequent standing, walking on uneven terrain, and navigating stairs, ladders, and hoists. Employees must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lb routinely and up to 50 lb occasionally, and possess the visual acuity and range of motion needed to read plans and inspect work. Work is split between active construction sites—exposed to weather, noise, and moving equipment—and office settings, with expectations to follow all safety policies and applicable regulations.
