The Calgary office of Smith + Andersen is currently seeking a Mechanical Designer. You’re a trained engineer or technologist with a passion for mechanical building services design. You enjoy taking on new challenges, but you’re most excited when you can buckle down and efficiently get work done. That’s why, whether you’re solving problems on your own or as part of a team, you excel. You don’t like being micro-managed, and are looking for an opportunity to work directly with senior leadership – to step up, learn more, and go further in your career.

- Familiar with municipal and provincial codes and authorities.
- Highly innovative and motivated with an attention to detail.
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment driven by project deadlines.

- Diploma/Degree from a mechanical building services/engineering or technologist program.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively with both internal and external clients.
