Are you an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with a P.E. license and a passion for uncovering the “why” behind electrical failures? We’re seeking a highly skilled professional – ideally with a CFEI fire/explosion certification – to join our team and lead forensic electrical investigations across commercial, industrial manufacturing, and residential environments. From electrical fire origins to product liability analysis, your expertise will help bring clarity and accountability to complex cases.

  • 15+ years of experience in electrical engineering (construction or forensic focus preferred)
  • Registered Electrical Contractor license (preferred)
  • Familiarity with NFPA 921 fire investigation guidelines
  • NCEES and multi‑state P.E. licenses (preferred)
  • Experience in product liability analysis, electrical contact/electrocution cases, low/medium/high voltage failure analysis, and subrogation potential
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) – absolute requirement
  • BSEE from an accredited institution
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Midwest U.S. for site and lab inspections
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable record
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems (residential, commercial, industrial)
  • Excellent problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • CFEI fire/explosion investigation certification (preferred)
