Negotiate land leases for storage projects on both Prologis real-state platform and out of platform.
Responsible for the necessary financial modelling to understand project economics
Develop front-of-the-meter (FTM) distributed energy storage projects, and utility scale energy storage projects from siting strategy, interconnections to project design and engineering, and support the origination, valuation, trading and optimization organizations to drive revenue growth through building a strong pipeline of energy storage projects across Prologis Americas footprint.
Lead responses to utility RFPs and support origination teams in negotiation of offtake agreements.
Manage contractual relationships and coordinate with legal, as needed, to assist with contract negotiations and to resolve programmatic needs/requirements
Partner closely with Real Estate, Capital Deployment, Leasing, Property Management, and Entitlements teams to identify and control sites within the Prologis portfolio suitable for standalone or hybrid BESS (e.g., land parcels, rooftops, parking/yard areas, and adjacent rights-of-way).
Use Prologis’ market presence to source candidate assets and land banks; develop a prioritization framework that scores sites on grid value, interconnection viability, customer use cases, and real estate readiness.
Act as internal storage subject matter expert by helping team-members across the broader Prologis energy and real-estate organization as they are exposed to energy storage opportunities
Manage permitting process with assistance of internal/external teams
Interface and develop strong working relationships with various regional internal and external partners to ensure the energy team brings value to our real estate business
Lead a high-performing team that delivers strategic outcomes through collaboration and continuous improvement
Own grid interconnection filings to support development portfolio, and lead acquisition/partnerships for interconnection queue positions through co-developments. Manage interconnection filings in multiple ISOs/RTOs and with distribution utilities across Americas.
Follow energy storage regulatory frameworks and assess the impact of potential technology and regulatory changes on existing portfolio, contracts and new leads.
