Director, Head of Business Rates

Description

You will work closely with the National Managing Director to grow and develop the business unit, which currently comprises four surveyors and business development professionals. Working towards set goals and financial targets, you will have access to a high-quality client base, including international retail brands, major leisure and hospitality companies, industrial and self-storage firms, and general commercial office clients.

Requirements

• Substantial rating appeal experience, including the preparation and submission of checks, challenges, and appeals. Experience of settlements or appearances at the Valuation Tribunal and/or Lands Tribunal.
• A proven track record of building and developing client portfolio relationships – or at minimum, a strong desire to do so.
• A clear understanding of business rates legislation and case law.
• Ideally a Member or Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), or IRRV-qualified, and possibly a Registered Valuer.

Benefits

Salary: Up to £120k + Package + Bonus

Location: London / Birmingham (Hybrid) 1x per week to London
