Site Safety Manager (Field Based)

Global consultancy delivering environmental, health, safety, risk, social and sustainability services.
Manage on-site safety for solar construction projects and stakeholder communication.
Review and track investigations of injuries, illnesses, environmental releases, non-injury accidents, and ear-misses to ensure that they are effective, and that they identify and resolve root causes to minimize re-occurrence. Lead investigations into serious adverse events.
Provide daily observations of on-site safety practices.
Prepare and submit local, State, and internal reports as needed.
Serve as the liaison between the developer and project stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and project progress.
Champion a strong safety culture across the site and maximize personnel involvement in safety-related activities.
Ensure the seamless execution of this project and maximize impact on the sustainable energy landscape.
Coordinate the completion of job safety analyses, risk assessments, and pre-task plans.
Address stakeholder inquiries, concerns, and provide regular updates on project status.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are achieved on schedule.
Provide timely, high-quality Safety technical support.
Facilitate transparent communication between the developer and key stakeholders.
Monitor and analyze Safety performance and initiate action to support or correct trends.
Carry out regular workplace safety inspections to monitor compliance with site safety rules, policies, procedures, etc.
Monitor project performance, budget adherence, and timelines.
Regularly works around moving mechanical parts and heavy machinery and equipment, and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity. Noise levels may be loud at times.

Basic MS (Word, Excel, Project, etc.) computing skills, email, etc.
3+ years’ experience in construction safety on power, utility, and civil projects; experience in solar or renewable construction projects.
CHST, ASP, or CSP certification is preferred.
Availability for overnight travel up to 5 days a week.
Can handle client relationships in all forms of communication (written, verbal, presenting, etc.) and knows when to escalate to leadership.
Ability to lift 25lbs.
Bachelor’s degree preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Current OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety class or equivalent.
Strong leadership and communication skills; can independently project manage with little to no oversight.
Strong interpersonal skills for building lasting relationships and influencing safe outcomes with project stakeholders.
Exceptional organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
Familiarity with solar energy and battery energy storage technologies, industry trends, and sustainability objectives.
Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
Possesses a valid Driver’s License and reliable mode of transportation.
Comprehensive understanding of the design & construction process.
