The position is an experienced‑level Assistant Community Manager located at Waterford Place in Milledgeville, GA. It is a full‑time role (30+ hours per week) with a salary of $14‑$16 hourly, offering days, nights, weekends, and on‑call shifts, and up to 25% travel. A valid driver’s license is required, and the job falls under the Management category.
Reporting directly to the Community Manager, the Assistant Community Manager serves as the property’s administrative assistant, ensuring compliance with company policies while supporting leasing, marketing, and resident relations. The role also involves accurate financial record‑keeping, rent collection, and budgeting assistance. Excellent attendance, communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to build lasting business relationships are essential.
The incumbent must work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, and may travel to conduct property business. Strong computer literacy, customer service, and written/oral communication are required, with proficiency in OneSite preferred. The individual should be prepared to act as the Community Manager when needed.
Candidates need at least a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably one year of property‑management experience, especially in affordable housing, Tax Credit, HUD, or Rural Development. The role demands physical ability to access all areas of the property, work a computer for at least seven hours daily, and interact with applicants, residents, vendors, and supervisors across multiple communication channels.
