The analyst will be responsible for entering budgets into AEP's corporate systems, providing ongoing forecast updates, and performing variance analysis at both program and project levels. They will also track key performance indicators and collaborate with teams to apply best‑practice project management throughout the lifecycle.
Additional duties include creating work orders, integrating external contractors and vendors into project budgets and schedules, and maintaining accurate project system records. The position also involves conducting training, supporting continuous process improvement, and developing tools and processes for the work group.
The analyst may assist with Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) verification, annual budgeting, capital forecasts, five‑year planning, and estimate‑versus‑actual analysis. They will also help with contracting activities such as bidding, cost analysis, and cost tracking when required.
Education requirements vary by experience: a high school diploma or GED plus four years of experience, an associate degree plus three years, or a bachelor’s degree plus one year. Candidates should possess strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office, and be willing to travel and perform light physical duties.
