In this role you will lead structural engineering efforts across a variety of building types and construction methods, provide technical input, and ensure constructability. You will mentor junior engineers, communicate design solutions to clients, and conduct site visits to monitor construction progress. Quality control, technical proposals, and compliance with permitting and client standards are also key responsibilities, while working independently under the guidance of the department manager.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, be a licensed Professional Engineer, have at least six years of relevant experience, and be a U.S. citizen. Preferred qualifications include ten or more years of building‑design experience, recent work with structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP, RAM Elements or RISA, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. Experience on large, complex projects and a willingness to work two days per week on‑site in Atlanta are also valued.
AECOM offers relocation assistance, a hybrid work arrangement, and a comprehensive benefits package that may include medical, dental, vision, life, disability, paid time off, flexible work options, retirement savings, and an employee stock purchase plan. Sponsorship for U.S. work authorization is not available for this position.
