Key responsibilities include serving as a subject matter expert on agency requirements, creating and maintaining centralized standards, policies, and procedures for permit applications, field compliance, and closure, and establishing a quality assurance framework to meet agency guidelines. The incumbent will also develop training materials, coordinate communication with permitting agencies to reduce rework, investigate and resolve jurisdictional feedback, conduct root‑cause assessments, and document changes in requirements along with mitigation strategies while working closely with leadership, government relations, public policy, and legal teams.
Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, with a bachelor's degree preferred, and at least seven years of experience in permitting, utility construction, or roadway restoration. Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills are required, along with the ability to interpret construction drawings, maintain a valid driver’s license, build effective relationships with external agencies, present ideas clearly, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $92,400 to $132,750 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills, plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and additional incentives.
