  • Obtaining pricing and bids or developing cost estimates as directed;
  • Operating the hotel in compliance with all federal, provincial, and local laws, including city by-laws and codes; and
  • Ensuring all fire and safety inspections are completed and correcting any discrepancies;
  • Ensuring all monthly, quarterly, and yearly documentation - including but not limited to preventative maintenance forms and brand-required documentation - is completed and submitted to the General Manager for review per brand/company policy;
  • Developing and administering the preventative maintenance schedule;
  • Managing the sourcing, interviewing, cultural training, and ongoing development of the maintenance department, focusing on team member satisfaction, productivity, and guest satisfaction;
  • Responding to guest requests and complaints promptly, efficiently, appropriately, and in a friendly manner;
  • Following company policies and procedures and effectively communicating them to subordinates, including following all company and job-specific safety policies and immediately reporting any accidents or hazards;
  • Maintaining knowledge of local building codes and other applicable building laws, blueprint reading, and building construction;
  • Completing work orders in a timely manner and ensuring all work orders are properly documented (i.e., completed forms and/or closed in the system);
  • Completing and documenting monthly tool inventory;
  • Handling guest concerns, compliments, and suggestions in a professional manner;
  • Monitoring the general condition of the building and surroundings by regularly walking the property;
  • Maintaining knowledge of all types of mechanical equipment including chillers, boilers, water softeners, refrigeration equipment, plumbing and electrical systems, and hotel shuttle;
  • Maintaining a professional image at all times through appearance and dress;
  • Maintaining the pool, including performing chemical testing and keeping up-to-date logbooks;
  • Completing all monthly, quarterly, and yearly inspections in a timely, accurate manner and responding appropriately;
  • Monitoring supplies and maintaining the working order of tools and equipment, managing respective inventories, and completing orders as necessary;
  • Scheduling outside contractor work, including fire systems and equipment as necessary;

We are looking for an Executive Housekeeper who will be responsible for leading and overseeing the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department including ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, service, and guest satisfaction are consistently achieved throughout guestrooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. The position requires a hands-on leader who can balance administrative duties, team management, and service excellence.

We are looking for a Hotel Maintenance Manager with at least 5 years of experience at a property with over 230 rooms.
