Define/ Maintain E2E services for the core network with clear inventory, processes, ownership and KPIs in place.

Responsible to build and maintain relationship with all suppliers, improve on the efficiency and costs.

Analyze the market for network related solution, be up to date with innovation topics.

Provides support as required during critical (high) incidents related to core network capabilities under ownership.

Work closely with the business representatives to ensure/ improve the availability of services.

Track the KPIs of its services on regular basis and provide improvement plans.

Create a vision for the core network for the part 3 to 5 years - align with other teams and publish a finalized strategy.

The Core Network Senior Manager will collaborate with local business representatives, suppliers, and various GTS product domains (Infrastructure, Governance, Cloud, Microservices, DevOps, Cybersecurity), as well as Service Delivery, Operations, and the PMO. They will ensure adherence to network standards and governance, guaranteeing uninterrupted service availability to the business.

Build an efficient and performant team: solution architects, SREs, governance to provide the services to the business.

Liaise with Core network suppliers support to get incidents resolved as soon as possible.

The Core Network Senior Manager will analyze market network solutions and envision future services and their benefits. They will collaborate with solution architects to define E2E services, including service catalogues, contracts, and costs. Additionally, they will promote infrastructure standards, rules, and technologies across the Schneider ecosystem.

Develop a best-in class monitoring to support SLA’s determined on the platform side.

Work closely with other GTS product ownership to align on the strategies and support each other on live services.

  • Support the team to ensure their compliance with the Schneider policies and processes, and specifically to the Togaf, DevOps framework.
  • Assessment of resource capacity facilitating the allocation of resources to best align to the portfolio.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to the team members.
  • Support the team members in their career development and help them develop their skills

This is a role with technical know-how, strong leadership qualities to eager drive core network initiatives, transformations from start to finish and lead on the global core network strategy in IT strategies and programs.

  • 5 years’ experience as a Core Network Architect and/or Engineer
  • Advanced knowledge of Lan and WiFi solutions (we use Cisco today; other technologies are nice to have)
  • Relevant Professional certifications: Wireless: Cisco Certified Network Professional Wireless (CCNP Wireless), Certified Wireless Network Professional (CWNP) or Certified Wireless Network Expert (CWNE); LAN and WAN: CCIE (Routing and Switching) or CCNP (Routing and Switching ).DC: CCNP ( Data Center)
  • Nice to have certifications: Cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure),
  • 3 years’ experience architecting core network solutions
  • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks like TOGAF and Zachmann
  • Experienced in working knowledge of DevOps frameworks.
  • Be sharp, with good interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, comfortable working within a multinational team.
  • Experience with routing design, techniques, and protocols such as BGP and OSPF
  • Authentication, Directory Services, LDAP and IAM: Microsoft Active Directory & Azure Active Directory, Certificate Services, Single Sign-On, AWS IAM, SAML, OAuth.
  • 3 to 5 years of leadership core for the core network services.
  • Adequate working knowledge of security and hardening concepts
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction; self-starter/self-motivated
  • Advanced knowledge of disaster recovery services & strategies
  • Technical writing experience.
  • Experience with DDI solutions: DHCP, DNS, NTP
  • Advanced virtualization technologies knowledge
  • Master’s degree in a Computer Science or equivalent demonstrable professional experience.
  • ITIL V4, Dev/SecOps and Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, DoDAF, Gartner Methodology).
  • Adequate core network management, logging and monitoring tools knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge of SDN solutions: SD-WAN , SD-DC (we use Cisco today)

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $164,000 - $246,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

*core network includes complete network connectivity to our resources on premise and on cloud.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, jobrelated skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
