The Lead Assembler position at the Racine facility (second shift) is a hands‑on leadership role that oversees production across multiple product families. It acts as a bridge between employees, management, and sales while ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are met.
Key responsibilities include coordinating daily operations, organizing workloads, reading specifications, assembling products, inspecting for defects, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and acting as a liaison for assembly and quality questions. The role also involves training new team members and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and at least five years of assembly or leadership experience, with strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read prints. Experience with electronic assembly, a Lean environment, and the ability to work extended hours and occasional weekends are required, along with the physical ability to lift 60 lb and pass vision tests for certain departments.
