Senior Manager, Project Development, WECC

Description

• Lead project development from inception to financial close by coordinating internal and external experts.
• Develop and own relationships with landowners, permitting authorities, and utilities.
• Lead recurring project reporting, including status tracing, risk identification, mitigation, and financial performance to senior leadership.
• Source consultants and negotiate scopes of work for development studies and activities.
• Support the Commercial team in project marketing and solicitation, such as RFP responses.
• Contribute to development and project acquisition due diligence.
• Monitor regulatory and policy changes and integrate them into development strategy.
• Accurately assess, quantify, and resolve project and contractual risks.

Requirements

• Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Environmental Science, or related field; MBA is a strong plus.
• Minimum six years of experience with proven success in utility‑scale renewable energy project development.
• Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment with a creative and proactive work ethic.
• Demonstrate strong project management skills, overseeing multiple large teams on concurrent projects.
• Possess knowledge and experience in WECC legal, regulatory, and environmental aspects.
• Proficient in MS Office, including Teams, Project, PowerPoint, and Excel.
