The IT Technician II is responsible for maintaining the integrity of all computer workstations and associated software across the property. This role serves as the primary point of contact for members experiencing computer issues and collaborates with the Director of IT Operations on infrastructure and development challenges.
Key responsibilities include installing and configuring approved hardware and software according to standard operating procedures, providing in‑person and remote troubleshooting, and handling user provisioning through systems such as Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange. The technician also replaces and re‑images equipment, assesses infrastructure regularly, secures customer data, processes hardware RMA requests, and supports temporary hardware setups for events.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or possess an equivalent blend of education and experience, and have at least two years of experience in network and system maintenance for a large‑scale luxury resort or casino. Required skills include troubleshooting POS equipment, networking and infrastructure knowledge, the ability to mentor Level 1 technicians, strong communication and leadership abilities, and proficiency with Microsoft 365 and IT security principles. Preferred certifications are CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+.
The role demands physical activity such as standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and maneuvering equipment in confined spaces, as well as clear communication in English both verbally and in writing. Candidates must apply common‑sense reasoning to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions and adapt to a moderate‑noise environment that may include secondhand tobacco smoke.
Compensation is market‑competitive, with an hourly rate ranging from $26.00 to $30.00, reflecting experience, skill set, and internal equity. Fontainebleau Las Vegas aims for transparent communication about compensation goals and career development opportunities.
