Lead and perform NCDOT Surveys and Verification, including but not limited to: construction staking, bridge layout, as-builts.
Ensure proper operation and maintenance of all survey equipment.
Train and mentor junior survey technicians in the use of equipment, field procedures, and safety protocols.
Perform survey computations and assist with data collection.
Maintain a high standard of accuracy and productivity in all survey work.

Strong attention to detail, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to travel as needed, including overnight stays
Skilled in making accurate field calculations and job planning.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training is a plus.
Proficient with GPS, RTK, VRS, and robotic total station equipment.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and maps.
Physically able to walk rough terrain, stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform field work in various weather conditions.
Minimum of 3 years of survey experience.
Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is a strong plus.
