Prepare bespoke & or Excel cost models from first principles for use when estimating, budgeting and forecasting. Keep cost models up to date with current rates from labour, subcontract, plant and material resources.
Liaise with the Project and Delivery Managers to determine outputs, programme, resource, and approach to pricing of schemes, including site surveys if or where required.d
Liaise with the street works department (providing route details) to obtain Gazetteer information & Local Authority restrictions.
Participation in mentoring and coaching programmes
Final bid review and sign off with Divisional Director / Senior Managers before submission of bid
Liaise with procurement to obtain aggregate, asphalt, concrete, plastic product and subcontractor pricing.g
Review tender documents, interpret requirements and work with colleagues to develop the bid strategy.
Tender handover for successful tender to the delivery team & QS as part of the Project Pre-Start meeting, providing a detailed build-up to rates and pricing.
All pre- and post-tender commercial activities, including attending post-tender reviews and or BAFO meetings
Identify and anticipate potential risks.
Tender Submissions to include preparing, negotiating and analysing costs for tenders, preparing subcontract tender enquiries & evaluation subcontract responses
