The position performs complex technical work involving process systems, database management, infrastructure planning, asset management, design, construction, preservation, and the operation and maintenance of water‑related facilities. It provides advanced technical analysis and expertise to support the Division’s projects and programs. The incumbent typically reports to a Manager or Senior Engineer.
A valid Class 5 driver’s licence and an available vehicle are required, as work will be performed from variable bases such as the Wastewater Treatment Plant, Water Supply sites or other designated locations. The role involves physical work in plant, field and inclement conditions and may require supervision of staff, contractors and consultants. Successful candidates must provide a satisfactory criminal record check, proof of education, and may undergo additional competency assessments. The position also requires compliance with the Provincial Occupational Health and Safety Act and City policies.
