The Front Line Supervisor oversees daily shop‑floor operations in a steel fabrication and welding environment, ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards. The role leads welders, laborers, and machine operators while emphasizing safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.
- Supervise and coordinate daily production team activities
- Meet production demands and deadlines while maintaining safety and quality
- Assist in planning daily/weekly production utilization

- Document training observations and conduct follow‑up sessions
- Enforce compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to assign tasks
- Ensure proper use of welding and fabrication equipment
- Report production downtimes and inefficiencies to the Plant Superintendent
- Support lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain records for production output, quality checks, timecards, and scrap
- Foster a team‑oriented environment with employee engagement and development

Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED and demonstrate reliability, dependability, and punctuality. The ideal applicant has 3–5 years of steel fabrication and welding experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
The supervisor should be proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and understand ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and the AWS D1.1 welding code. Experience with lean manufacturing tools, strong organizational, math, verbal, and literacy skills, and OSHA 30 certification (preferred) are required, along with proven leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
