You will conduct maintenance tasks such as technical inspection and classification, remove and replace worn or faulty parts including engines, transmissions and differentials, reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired components, perform minor body and trim repairs, and test and repair electrical systems like lighting, ignition and electronic fuel injection. You will also inspect vehicles and issue road‑worthiness certificates.
Candidates must hold a Cert III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (or equivalent), have proven experience inspecting, repairing and maintaining light, medium and heavy vehicles, possess a current Australian state or territory class C driver’s licence, be an Australian citizen and be able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
The role offers $46.85 an hour plus super, a 38‑hour week (Monday to Friday) finishing at 12 pm on Fridays, training and upskilling, relocation assistance for the right candidate, work on unique defence vehicles and assets, 17.5% annual leave loading, and provision of all tools, PPE, uniforms and on‑site parking.
