Apartment Leasing Agent (Part-Time)

Description

The Apartment Leasing Agent reports to the General Manager and supports daily property operations to maintain customer satisfaction, financial stability, and property condition. Core duties include assisting with leasing to achieve high occupancy, handling renewal offers, managing applications, and overseeing check‑out processes. The role also involves responding to resident concerns, preparing performance reports, and supporting marketing and retention programs.

• Assist with leasing activities to maintain high occupancy and process renewal offers
• Log responses and manage property availability records
• Review, approve, and submit rental applications to the General Manager
• Coordinate property licensing and renewals with legal counsel and city officials
• Conduct check‑out procedures, including key collection and unit inspections
• Ensure accurate and efficient lease signings and resident check‑ins
• Address resident concerns promptly to uphold good public relations
• Prepare weekly performance reports for the property
• Contribute to advertising, marketing, and resident retention programs
• Maintain courteous communication with residents, applicants, staff, and vendors
• Answer phones and perform general administrative tasks such as filing and typing

Requirements

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, possess strong computer and math skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office and preferably Entrata. Additional requirements include a valid driver’s license, willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR certification, and the ability to follow legal and procedural guidelines. A positive, professional attitude and excellent customer service are essential for success in a fast‑paced environment.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; Entrata knowledge preferred
• Strong typing, record‑keeping, and numerical analysis skills
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance preferred; willing to obtain First Aid/CPR certification
• Knowledge of and adherence to federal, state, and local housing laws
• Excellent customer service and professional communication skills
• Ability to meet paperwork deadlines and follow standardized procedures
• Positive, enthusiastic attitude with logical thinking and adaptability
