In this role you will lead the complete electrical design process, from power distribution and control diagram creation to preparing bills of material and detailed installation drawings, using AutoCAD and EPLAN.
You will manage projects end‑to‑end, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to applicable standards, while staying current with industry trends and providing technical guidance.
- Design power distribution networks and control schematics using Profinet and AS‑i bus.
- Produce detailed AutoCAD and EPLAN drawings, including enclosure layouts, cabling specs, and assembly instructions.
- Prepare comprehensive bills of material for all electrical components.
- Create and use checklists for commissioning, from connections to final I/O testing.
- Develop tooling to optimize engineering workflows.
- Manage project lifecycle: estimate, plan, control scope, and track progress.
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to implement effective solutions.
- Ensure projects meet deadlines, budgets, and required standards.
- Conduct industry research to stay up‑to‑date with emerging technologies.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and external partners.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
- Specify Siemens PLC hardware and configure Profibus, Profinet, TCP/IP, Serial, and AS‑i networks.
- Perform power, cable, and tray system calculations and generate BOMs.
- Supervise electro‑mechanical installation and commissioning on site.
- Coordinate with cabinet suppliers, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
- Interact with global project counterparts and build professional relationships.

The position of Electrical Project Engineer I is based in Pune, India, and requires a B.E./B.Tech degree in Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation with 5‑8 years of relevant experience.
The ideal candidate holds strong knowledge of power and control systems, Siemens PLC hardware, Profibus/Profinet/TCP‑IP/AS‑i networks, and is proficient in electrical calculations, cable and tray design, BOM preparation, and supervision of electro‑mechanical installation and commissioning.
